Here are some basic steps to keep in mind for
a bunch of expressions™
bouquets:
- Keep the vase filled with fresh warm water – slightly warmer than room
temperature.
- Remember to add the flower food provided with your bouquet. Follow the
mixing directions on the flower food packet. Do dilute with more water than is
specified on the packet. This is generally one pack to one cup (8 oz.) of
water.
- Cut stems by removing one to two inches with a pair of scissors or
clippers that will not crush the stems. Immediately place the stems into
solution.
- Keep flowers in a cool spot (65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit), away from
direct sunlight. Keep your Bunch of Expression bouquet away from any heat this
includes appliances.
- Most flowers will last longer under cool conditions.
Special Rose Care
- Cut the rose stems before you arrange them in a vase. Some times you will
have better results when you cut the rose stems under water.
- Arrange in a vase with floral food and warm water.
- Replace the floral food and water solution as the roses use it.
Damaged Roses
Excessive warm areas or dry storage conditions will wilt roses. Air bubbles
in the stem also create wilted roses. If this occurs make a new stem-end cut.
